PAUL NEWTON TUTORING

Paul taught mathematics in state and private schools in London and New York where he wrote a text book for 16/17 year olds. He then worked in commercial roles with IBM and on retiring has taken up teaching maths again. Throughout his career he kept up marking examination work, and therefore knows the syllabuses well, and is very experienced in A-level, International Baccalaureate, Pre-U, GCSE and Additional Maths programmes and teaching.

His students find Paul personable and engaging, with a real enthusiasm for maths and for their success. Paul has a degree in Mathematics from Bristol University, a post-graduate certificate in education and an MA in Mathematics Education from London University.

An energetic and skilled tutor with strong mathematics education-related qualifications and both school-based and one-on-one tutoring experience, including ongoing examination work with the International Baccalaureate, and previously with UK examining boards. Maths text book published with OUP selling in excess of 100,000 copies.
